I previously did this for ECG 2009; see the previous blog here. However, unfortunately all the images and videos were deleted from this site due to a ShoZu server error. I won't be using ShoZu this year as I can't really trust them anymore, even though they did claim they have "taken steps to prevent this happening again". Plus, they've introduced a fee for the service since last year.
Just a few points to note:
- This is a liveblog, so won't necessarily be presented particularly well, but it should capture the atmosphere as I move through the conference. I might do some cleanup/quality control at some point.
- Partly this is because I'll be blogging from my mobile using PixelPipe (instead of ShoZu; see above), which doesn't let you edit your posts. I won't have computer-based internet access at any time during my stay at ECG, so this is the only means I'll have to post.
- Any videos I post through PixelPipe will be in the QuickTime format, so you might need to download that if you can't view the videos.
- Speaking of videos, they'll probably be mostly low quality as I have to transfer them over a mobile network.
- I'll be staying at a church right near the waterfront, actually closer to the venue than I stayed last year (though slightly further from the Great Orme Summit). Like last year, I'll just refer to this place as "HQ" for security/privacy reasons.
